For over 40 years, from the 1950s until the late 1990s, Harry Jacobs worked as a commercial studio photographer in Stockwell, London, SW9. He took an estimated 60,000 photographs. Jacobs' archive captures generations of individuals and families, their hopes and achievements. I didn't get the chance to see the exhibition at the photographers gallery a few years ago but i've just made an appointment to look through the archives at the black cultural archives and museum.
good job on being pro-active!!!!! looking through his archives will be amazing, his work is beautiful. i just started watching 'apocalypse now' from about an hour in and i have absolutely no idea what is going on. xxxx
